Bob Short: "This was the first song I ever wrote. There had been sort of half songs that I'd struggled to write by force of will and then, whilst walking across Hyde Park in Sydney, the shape of it came together in my head. I walked home refining it and by the time I got there it was just a matter of learning how to play it. This continues to be my preferred method of song writing to this day. I have books full of scraps delivered into my brain on walks and train trips. They just appear. Of course this song wears its influences on its sleeves but, then again, doesn't every song?"

TUMBLEDOWN
Lay one last wreath, shed one last tear if you must
It’s over now, all our dreams reduced to dust
Tumbledown, fall apart at the seams
Tumbledown, fall apart at the seams
Tumbledown, fall apart at the seams
Tumbledown, tumbledown
What once was love, that property is left condemned
Abandoned now, no chance left to make amends
Tumbledown, fall apart at the seams
Tumbledown, fall apart at the seams
Tumbledown, fall apart at the seams
Tumbledown, tumbledown
Look at my works, the mighty look and fall and weep
And god is gone, there’s no world left here for the meek
Tumbledown, fall apart at the seams
Tumbledown, fall apart at the seams
Tumbledown, fall apart at the seams
Tumbledown, tumbledown
Tumbledown, fall apart at the seams
Tumbledown, fall apart at the seams
Tumbledown, fall apart at the seams
Tumbledown, tumbledown
