"The Fog" is another John Carpenter theme. When we were watching these films, it was virtually impossible to purchase soundtrack LPs. One of the albums I really used to love was "The Music of John Carpenter" by the Splash Band. It was kind of basic and overly disco. But it was also the only way you could blast these songs out on your home stereo.
The Splash Band's version of "The Fog" was probably the highlight of that album and this version leans slightly in on that. I, of course, added the twelve chimes at the start to acknowledge one of the film's plot point.
