GET OFF THE ROAD Hey, What’s that hogging the horizon and hindering the highway Mercy sakes, somebody better shift that lard away Hey, I ain’t seen nothing like that in any highway code Hey Fat Boy... why don’t you get off the road Hey fatso get off of the road, get off of the road. Get Off the Road! Hey fatso get off of the road, get off of the road. Get Off the Road This town ain’t big enough for the both of us You stick around town and it might just get to dangerous For you to lose some weight, I just can’t wait You look like you’ve done gone over inflate You eat junk food till it makes you ill But what your momma won’t tell you, Baby I will Hey Fat Boy what you doing uptown Your blubber guts is always hanging around You’re scrag end mutton dressed up like lamb Like you swallowed the whole trash can Swallow it up don’t bother to chew And the neighbourhood kids are laughing at you Hey let’s get in the Woody and hit the beach All that sun, surf and sea and it’s all flab free That’s what you think... Summer’s here and the time is right But down at the beach you’re blocking out the light The Save the Whalers want to tow you to sea But that’s all right if you’re far from me Hey You I’m talking to you. There’s nobody else here It’s no use hiding behind that small nation You still stick out like a shark in a gold fish bowl.

THE RETURN OF THE JACK OF HEARTS When Marie came down to the club and said you’d blown back in to town You’d lit out under a big black cloud Just leaving rumours hanging around You’d left a few outstanding warrants And a lot of unpaid bills You’d left a lot more broken hearts that night You headed for the hills You’d thought they’d called a holiday and put bands on in the park All the town is buzzing about The return of the Jack Of Hearts Return of the Jack, Return of the Jack, The return of the Jack of Hearts Return of the Jack, Return of the Jack, The return of the Jack of Hearts Well Big Joe Bell is mad as hell Put a price upon your head The angels must be on your side To walk the paths they wouldn’t tread Everyone’s got the notion You’ve come to right a lot of wrongs A lot of guys are shaking Now you’re back where you belong Ain’t no point in asking What you’ve been doing all this time Hidden beneath the Ray Bans You never give a sign I’ve got this crazy feeling Good times are on the way Now you’ve come home to rule the roost Now you’ve come back home to stay Jack’s back, here to stay, No you won’t catch him, not him no way Jack’s back, so you better pray, If you done him wrong he’s gonna make you pay Jack’s back, here to stay, Better watch your back every night and day Better listen to what I got to say, The Return of the Jack of Hearts.

THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT They say all is fair in love and war And I know where this conversations heading for But I don’t care about a single word you say When it comes down to the crunch this is the only way The Devil Made me do it The Devil made me care And you just can’t condemn me for anything I’ve done You should know that you can’t stop a boy having too much fun The Devil Made me do it. The Devil Made me do it. The path of right is narrow or so they say There’s a big wide world right off that path to lead me astray This cat ain’t killed by curiosity Coz with Nine Lives I’ve got immunity The Devil Made me do it The Devil made me care And you just can’t condemn me for anything I’ve done You should know that you can’t stop a boy having too much fun The Devil Made me do it. The Devil Made me do it. The Devil Made me do it The Devil made me care And you just can’t condemn me for anything I’ve done You should know that you can’t stop a boy having too much fun The Devil Made me do it. The Devil Made me do it.

FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE Money speaks a language, money speaks a word Deaf man hears it clearly, it only whispers to be heard Everything’s on the menu, if your price is right If smell of fresh new notes, no door is ever locked too tight For a few dollars more I’ll more I’ll sell my mother For a few dollars more I’ll sell my soul For a few dollars more I’ll turn your water into wine For a few dollars more, for a few dollars more Call it the root of all evil, complain of things it has done But when the money starts calling, I’ll watch you. Look at you run. When you’re sitting alone some night, you want some money to call Coz a friend who just wants your money, is better than no friend at all There is no person who’s honest, only those who’re afraid Just because a thing is bought, it doesn’t mean you must pay Money speaks my language, money speaks it loud, You can get anything you want, everything is allowed

Tumbledown 02:50
TUMBLEDOWN Lay one last wreath, shed one last tear if you must It’s over now, all our dreams reduced to dust Tumbledown, fall apart at the seams Tumbledown, fall apart at the seams Tumbledown, fall apart at the seams Tumbledown, tumbledown What once was love, that property is left condemned Abandoned now, no chance left to make amends Tumbledown, fall apart at the seams Tumbledown, fall apart at the seams Tumbledown, fall apart at the seams Tumbledown, tumbledown Look at my works, the mighty look and fall and weep And god is gone, there’s no world left here for the meek Tumbledown, fall apart at the seams Tumbledown, fall apart at the seams Tumbledown, fall apart at the seams Tumbledown, tumbledown Tumbledown, fall apart at the seams Tumbledown, fall apart at the seams Tumbledown, fall apart at the seams Tumbledown, tumbledown

Curse on You 02:29
CURSE ON YOU What gives you the right to act this way (I put a curse on you) Don’t you think I’ve got a right to say (I put a curse on you) Now what you give you’re gonna get (I put a curse on you) And you just ain’t seen nothing yet (I put a curse on you) What gives you the right to act this way (I put a curse on you) Don’t you think I’ve got a right to say (I put a curse on you) Now what you give you’re gonna get (I put a curse on you) And you just ain’t seen nothing yet (I put a curse on you) I hate you, I hate the sight of you I hate you, There’s nothing right with you I don’t care I hope you’ll go away That’s all, all I have to say You’re gonna learn from your mistakes (I put a curse on you) I don’t care how long it takes (I put a curse on you) You’ll never get away with that (I put a curse on you) Because I’m gonna get you back (I put a curse on you) I hate you, I hate the sight of you I hate you, There’s nothing right with you I don’t care I hope you’ll go away That’s all, all I have to say I hate the sight of you, there’s nothing right with you I hate the sight of you, you, you, you, you.

Jesus 03:55
JESUS You look around you and you’ll see God doesn’t really care The simple Reason for this is He isn’t really there There ain’t no bread from heaven And there’s no such thing as sin It’s just some shit they’ll give you To fill the collection bin. Hallelujah, God be praised I’d rather go to hell Hallelujah, God be saved A joke that the dead can’t tell Jesus must have loved me To put me in this place So nice that loving saviour He just kicks you in the face But still his teachings blossom Coz the money’s rolling in And do the rotting corpses think they’re going up to him Hallelujah, God be praised I’d rather go to hell Hallelujah, God be saved A joke that the dead can’t tell Just give to Caesar what is his Or so the prophet asks And get down on your knees to pray and take it up the arse It’s not about salvation or the light, the truth, the way It’s keeping you down in your place And learning to obey Hallelujah, God be praised I’d rather go to hell Hallelujah, God be saved A joke that the dead can’t tell

Paradise 02:20
PARADISE You pay the price, In god you trust Ashes to ashes and dust to dust When master calls, the dogs run home While all souls rot beneath the stones And there you’ll pray for a paradise you’ll never see For a paradise nobody sees Tread the path, enter the stream You work for those who steal your dreams It makes you happy, it makes you proud To only do what you’re allowed Promised things that never come Just left to watch the setting sun No life in life as it grows dark You feed yourself up to the sharks
9.
NO ALLEGIANCE I’m not gonna fight for Queen and Country I’m not gonna fight for your democracy Ain’t no flag to which I owe allegiance But that don’t mean I’m sitting on your fence Don’t need your government Or your war zones Don’t need your sentiment I’ll just stay home I’m not gonna join your fucking army And don’t think that I’ll let you conscript me I won’t kill for you to make a profit Or die for phoney Gods or twisted prophets

THALIDOMIDE CHILD When I was born I should have died But medical science kept me alive Coz what I’m missing deep inside Makes a virtue of suicide I’m a thalidomide child you can’t help me Just curse the world that created me I am deformed in ways that you can’t see There’s a great big hole right inside of me Don’t judge someone by what’s inside There ugliness does not reside But if you look beneath the hide You’ll see the monster deep inside I’m a thalidomide child you can’t help me Just curse the world that created me I am deformed in ways that you can’t see There’s a great big hole right inside of me

Redemption 06:34
REDEMPTION Tired and hungry, I walked weary No destination, no homeward bound Until they dragged me to the river Held my head under until I drowned I’m sick and dying Lord and I’m shaking with fear This has all gone too far, I’m losing what I hold dear I’m drinking liquor just to face another day When I’ve downed half a bottle, the world slips away I’m living a ruin, not mad and not sane The dreams are all dying then I lose it again My redemption seems a million miles away My redemption seems a million miles away A mother promises her son only death and pain The pain comes with interest again and again Now her in the gutter I lay me down to die I could stand up but I can’t seem to try I looked for salvation but the savior was gone In your arms I sought comfort but that fled with the dawn We live as we dream and we die as we live A loneliness we can’t forget or forgive

about

FU 702. Largely consisting of song writing demos, these tracks were included in the original release of the album "Filth" as bonus tracks. The tracks have been re-mixed and some partly re-recorded to raise quality. Some of the previous versions had sounded a little over produced and many of the overdubs were discarded. All together, the end result is much stronger. These songs largely have individual histories as unrecorded or poorly recorded tracks performed with earlier bands. Many have stronger punk themes than other Dead Rabids' releases. There are political songs and dumb offensive songs. It's an evil brew... but not without wit.
