But having said that, welcome to Blood and Roses live at the Old Ambulance Station on the Old Kent Road. A previous bootleg release exists of this performance but this version must have been recorded on the other side of the room because you can hear way more guitar. (These were the days you didn't mic everything on stage and the guitar amp had to work for a living). It was a packed house. We were supposed to play two sets. The first set was supposed to be stuff from the new album "Enough is Never Enough". The second set was going to be older punkier songs and garage covers. A bomb scare meant the building was evacuated and mid way through the first set, we were told it was going to be our only set because of venue curfew. Most of the audience seemed to dig it but there was a small and yet vocal subset who spent most of the gig hurling abuse and whatever. Apparently, we were pop stars. Being pretty is a curse. But I was listening to this yesterday and thought, what a wonderful historic record and, despite the lack of audio quality, what a fucking kick arse band. I'm chucking it out here on the cheap. Enjoy or ignore. I don't give a fuck.
